Top Business Finance Apps in Australia: Q4 2024 Analysis

In the fourth quarter of 2024, several business finance and solutions apps in Australia demonstrated varied performance trends on the unified platform, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Xero Me from Xero Ltd showed a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, peaking at about 8.9K in late October before experiencing a decline to around 3.4K by the end of December. The app maintained a robust active user base, starting at 169K and reaching a high of 224K in early November, although it fell to 146K by the quarter's end.

Square Point of Sale (POS), developed by Block, Inc., experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads from approximately 7.8K at the beginning of the quarter to 3.8K by December's close. Active user numbers initially increased, peaking at 142K in mid-November, but eventually decreased to about 104K.

Xero Accounting for business also from Xero Ltd, saw its weekly revenue fluctuate, reaching a peak of $18.7K in early November. Downloads showed a similar pattern, beginning at 4K and dropping to just over 2.2K by late December. Active users increased from 52K to a peak of 63K in mid-December before settling at 59K.

Mileage Tracker by Driversnote from Driversnote ApS experienced a rise in revenue, peaking at $2.8K in early December. Downloads decreased steadily from 4K to 2.6K, while active users started at 12K and ended the quarter slightly lower at 9.8K.

Finally, NAB Connect Mobile from NAB showed a consistent download trend, starting at 1.6K and dropping to 748 by the end of December. The app's active users increased steadily, peaking at 44K in early December before declining to 36K.
